Conditions of Play
NOTE: The Tournament Directors may alter the conditions of play, format & schedule to in the event of inclement weather or any other circumstance. The Tournament Directors decisions are final.
- 2 Bowl Triples - 16 ends - No time limit - Killed end is spotted on the 2m mark
- Drawn game is a draw - 2 points awarded per win, 1 per draw, 0 per loss
- 1 win is worth more than 2 draws - Players winning the previous end must take the mat
- Top 8 teams qualify for Main Event Quarter Finals, next 8 teams to Plate Quarter Finals
- Positions determined by Game Points (wins), then highest differential (for minus against), then who beat who (if applicable), then total ends won.
- The event will be conducted under the Laws of the Sport of Bowls (Crystal Mark Edition)
Post Section Draws
The top qualifier chooses their Quarter Final opponent from the remaining 7 qualifiers (Main event & Plate) This process continues until all remaining teams are chosen. Teams are placed on the side of the draw accordingly – Top qualifier on one side with next best on opposite side.
Shanghai Singles
An optional Shanghai Singles event will be run for all non-qualifiers on Sunday at 9.30am. Players need to enter their names if they wish to participate.
